Job Background: As Country Director (CD) you are overall responsible for the country programme and team in Uganda. As such, you chair the Management Team and lead and control the cohesion between the different departments and disciplines: program implementation / program development & quality control / support and financial control. As CD you directly manage a team of so called key positions holders (4) and indirectly a team of local staff (70).
        
Since 2004 our Client is working in 8 districts in Northern Uganda and from the countries’ head office in Kampala. The programme aims at improving psycho-social well being of children and youth, through education, child protection and psychosocial support intervention, by empowering children and youth and promote a supportive and protective environment.

To provide and support a solid, reliable IT infrastructure for the organisation and over 1,000 staff worldwide. This encompasses PCs, Servers, LANS and WANS and the applications that run on them.

Main purpose of the Job:
This is a technically senior post within the IT Infrastructure & Support team. The prime purpose of the role is to provide technical excellence in projects infrastructure maintenance as well as 2nd line
support for the management of the Networks, Servers and Core Infrastructure.

Components of the Role:
Providing a 2nd line of support in the management and maintenance of the networking environment and working on projects to develop and enhance the core infrastructure.
It includes the following:
, Undertaking technical projects within the team to help manage and maintain our overall technical infrastructure. This will include working on technically complex projects to ensure the high performance, security & scalability of our infrastructure whilst minimizing disruption to our end users.
, Working to find solutions to unresolved incidents identified by the Support Desk
, Working with colleagues overseas to support & improve the IT service in those locations
, Giving technical input to the design & selection of strategic solutions
, Commissioning new equipment for staff, and networking equipment for our sites
, Where required, travel to other UK locations or overseas offices
, To liaise with internal colleagues and external contacts.
, To take responsibility for reviewing own personal development and overall team tasks.
All team members are expected to work at any level (including 1st and 2nd line support) as the need arises.

Job Background: The office in Juba, South Sudan is the centre for the programmes in South Sudan. Currently the South Sudan office runs nine programmes and has a projected income of £2.3m for the 2010/11 financial
year. The Country Finance Manager (CFM) is responsible for running the finances of the South Sudan programme overseeing donor reporting, budget preparation and all financial and management accounting. The team, including the CFM, consists of eight people. The CFM will manage the South Sudan Finance team reporting to the Country
Director but will interact with the Regional Finance Manager (RFM), Financial Controller (FC) and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to meet the global reporting needs of the organisation. The CFM is expected to be an integral part of the senior management team in country and work
closely with the management, technical and operations team in country.

Job Purpose:
To provide a pro-active, efficient, timely and relevant finance service to the technical and operations departments including project reports at a level of detail necessary to manage budgets effectively, ensuring proper books of account are maintained in compliance with local law and organisational Finance Management Policies and Procedures and timely management and financial accounting reports are provided to regional and head office staff as laid down in the reporting timetable and to be part of the Senior Management Team of the country team.
