Our Client is an international charity which works with partners to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote equality of opportunity for disabled people in the developing world Job Background
We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled and motivated Policy Advisor to drive forward our policy and advocacy work on eye health and health systems, including human resources for eye health. The role will be based within the newly formed Policy Team and will play a crucial part in ensuring the success of this team. The post-holder will be responsible for leading the development of our Client's eye health and health systems policy analysis and ensuring that this leads to relevant policy change through influencing a wide range of policy and decision-makers. |
Salary
If based in the UK the annual salary will be £35,115, if based overseas local terms and conditions will apply including the base salary. Location
Haywards Heath, Sussex or overseas (dependent on the country location of the successful candidate) Job Qualifications
The successful candidate should have experience in policy and lobbying work in health and international development, preferably with experience of eye health and/or health systems strengthening. Experience of advocacy work and researching and writing policy briefings is also essential. An outstanding communicator who can present complex issues in clear terms and tailor these to different audiences you must have strong analytical skills and an ability to think strategically Additional Information
