Job Background: Our Client is developing programmes in shelter/construction, NFI distribution, watsan and health, and need an Assistant Country Director to support and develop this country programme going forward.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION
To support the Country Director in all aspects of the Organisation's activities in Haiti with direct responsibility for monitoring, planning and supporting approved projects. The ACD will also play a key role in the development of the programme within the framework of the Country Strategy, as well as coordinating the recording of all projects and procedures implemented.
• Delegate for the CD representing the organisation with donors, government, media and other NGOs.
• Assist in establishing and improving management systems and structures.
• Assist with programming and monitoring progress of projects with a view to ensuring completion within the required time frame on budget.

Job Background: Main Purpose:
To provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure the effective development and implementation of quality emergency health programmes in Haiti and support the transition to rehabilitation and development phase programmes.

Overall Objectives (scope)
Will be to:
•        Provide leadership and support to the Health Programme in Haiti
•        Lead and conduct assessments within priority locations using internationally accepted tools
•        Contribute to the overall planning and strategic direction of the Organisation's programme in Haiti
•        Provide technical guidance to the programme
•        External representation when required to national authorities, international donors, international organisations and other NGOs at the national level

Job Background: The Program Director leads the organisation in Haiti’s overall Program, including the response to the Haiti earthquake of January 2010. He/she is the line manager for the Senior Program Managers and Senior Advisors for programs and interventions for children, young people and communities. He/she ensures that all aspects of the Program are designed, implemented, monitored and evaluated in line with the organisation's rights based Child Centered Community Development approach, approved Country strategy and with best practices in the various sectors. He/she is a member of the Country Management Team.
