Our client is an international child-centred community development agency helping children to realise their full potential.

Our client is one of the largest child centred community development organisations in the world. They work on projects and initiatives that address the causes of poverty and its consequences on children’s lives.

The job purpose is to lead, direct, manage and be accountable for country operations.

1.        Lead the Country Management Team

2.        Manage and develop competent and committed human resources.

3.        Ensure learning, evaluation, continuous improvement and technical assistance is an integral part of each domain

4.        Direct and manage country operations

5.        Manage the development, review and approval, implementation and evaluation of the Country Strategic Plan.

6.        Build productive contacts and relations across countries, Regions, IH, National Organizations and with other organizations to incorporate best practices and learning into country operations.

7.        Direct and manage policies, procedures and legal requirements for in country operations.

8.        Participate in the management and development of the organization as a whole.

9.        Build and manage relationship with government and with other organizations to optimize marketing and grant funding opportunities.

10.        Act as a representative towards the donor missions, delegations and embassies in their countries,

$60,000 plus excellent benefits

East and South Africa and the Americas ( countries to be determined)

Education or Equivalent - University degree.

Experience

•        At least eight years professional experience
•        At least five years as a development professional
•        Five years executive management experience
•        Two to four years working experience outside geographical and cultural area of origin
•        Demonstrated record of experience in program, communication, finance, human resource management and fund raising support
•        Managed significant budget

Languages:

•        Speaks, reads, and writes English fluently
•        Proven ability and willingness to learn another language quickly
